Any1 heading to Wildwood in the summer for J1? accommodation and jobs is supposed to be easy to come by. Might only be me going if my friend decides not to go so would be looking to share. anything is better than another summer in Ireland unemployed!!

Hey me and a mate headin over.. 2 lads.. We wer gonna head to wildwood but heard about gang trouble there and also its impossible to get into clubs as they know the score with irish fake ids.. not sure if true or not. We are now thinkin about ocean city new jersey.. on a reccomendation of a friend who was there last year.. we also appled to moreys on the pier! If anyone has any more info please pass on. Oh and i think if your going that direction you fly into newark aiport but not sure.. may be cheaper to fly to an airport in new york, jfk or sumwher..
oooo really cool !! i was thinking alright we may av to fly in to ny ...really we didnt hear that at all , most stuff we heard about it has been pretty positive !! we all applied for that moreys pier place too but , i think once you get there its pretty easy to find jobs as far as i know ! also ocean city prob a good spot .. loads from cork are headin there!
yeah.. im not sure whether the gangs thing is true or not.. maybe not.. Has moreys pier gotten back to any of ye yet? theres also a theme park and loads of other spots for jobs in ocean city.. plus the surfing there is supposed to be great..

Me and 4 of my friends all got an email from Morey's saying they aren't going to hire us this summer. Alot of us have experience as well so we are pretty confused? only one girl got offered a job out of our group! We were pretty certain we would get a jobs there thats why we decided to go to Wildwood!

well guys! Ive been to Wildwood last year (summer 2010), Had the best possible summer ever you will not regret it. I was 19 for half of the summer too!! Irish fake licences work great in the irish bars and theres 2 or 3 good ones over there, north wildwood are very strict and accept current passport only. This was a bit of a balls but we managed sound without it. For the 3 months we were there id say there was maybe four nights that we didnt go out! and out was out! like stagger home when it's bright from some random house party, We drank in the house before we went out and only ended up spending like $15 max every nite, including food too. Those of you who got refused from morey's peirs i wouldnt be to sorry about that, they treat staff like shit and are very strict. I worked in Olympic casino had great craic there, it's on the boardwalk too. anyone who cant find a job in wildwood is doing something seriously wrong! a few walks up the boardwalk and your away with it. I'd advise looking for jobs in the gaming arcades, pizzerias or go karting tracks. Try stay away from morey's piers anyway. ahh this is killing me writing this! wish i was going back :( hah. Typical day in wildwood for me was as follows: 12:pm wake up hungover, throw on the shorts flip flops stagger out the door and walk approx 500m to the beach, kick off the flip flops and into the water, being the atlantic ocean this was the best cure possible! haha would lie on the beach then for a few hours come home have some grub and head to work for 5 or so. cycle to work (on my pink bike, free of course) finish up around 12.30 grab a dollar slice of pizza on the way home, land back at our house to a fridge full of natural light! and a house of lads tearing into them!! head to one of the bars around half 1, 2 o clock. bit of craic there... try pull etc.. if all fails go to romeos pizzeria in search of a house party! never fails haha. land home 6/7/8 o clock fall asleep somewhere and then do it all again!! all in all an awesome summer! could not recomend it anymore!
