Anyone thinking of heading to Long Beach? Spent last summer in Cape Cod so want to try something a bit different. 3 of us so far, all 21. Can't wait to get out there again!

hey! Cape Cod was amazing, Hyannis to be particular! Weather is def better than here, no worries about that :) got up to high 30's celsius some days! There was 11 of us (6 boys, 5 girls) and we all got jobs in the end! It can take a couple of weeks to get a job if ur not lucky but u will find one! In Hyannis try the harbour, the mall, and Main Street, especially the Irish pub if there's any guys with ye, good bouncer jobs!
Accommodation can be expensive. We paid 95 dollars each for our house every week . .but it was worth it
Provincetown is lovely too, very different, nice little streets and apparently good nitelife. Yarmouth is good too, lots of beach activities there!

Yep a few of us are thinking about heading over to long beach for the summer. Iv heard its class. My only worry is the job hunt and if worst comes to worst is it far of a commute into Manhattan should job prospects be better toward the city? Also, the accommodation situation; ideally i would like to rent a house for the few months im over there as there are enough of us heading over to fill a house. Can anyone advise the best route to take in terms of sorting out accomodation in the long beach area??

Im heading over with 5 others and really looking strongly at Long Beach, im 22 and the others are all 21. anyone know what the job situation would be like out there? also mr. chow its like an hour on the train into central Manhattan, and they only run once an hour so it could be tough to get in there for a job. would love to just rent a house for the summer, or even just rent a few motel rooms for the 3 months.

hey, me and a friend are over here in long beach since the 23rd May. we got jobs sorted straight away, but the accommodation is hard to find and the motels are dear to stay in. we are looking at getting a 3 bedroom at the mo but need to have other ones to share with to take down the rent. anyone interested give us a shout on 516-943-1460 or 516-943-1461.
Kev 88 and mr.chow we are out in Long Beach now, arrived on Thurs and ten of us have jobs already..only a few still looking but if your persistent/eager in anyway you will defo get one..they are rarely even askin for visas!! houses is kinda harder, but i think after this weekend we will defo get one, people will have more time for us!! :) are ye out here??
