    Hey I have my embassy meeting monday and just went online to fill the form out there now and seen that it says it must be filled out at least 5 days before meeting!!!! how strict are they about this?? this is the first i've heard of this ever!!! someone please tell me its im not too late!!

    you'll be fine, I couldn't access mine until a day or 2 before as far as I can remember, just fill it out now and print out confirmation page at the end, save as you go as it give you very little time to complete and you'll have to enter the form a few times

    Thanks paddy! was getting a bit worried there! One more question, I dont have a scanner to scan my photo. Do I definitely have to scan it in?

    I took mine with a digital camera and uploaded it, I can't remember if you need to have the same photo on the day as you uploaded, I did, got the photo I took printed by one of those machines in a chemist. Actually it doesn't have to be the same photo because I know people who arrived at the embassy, and the photo wasn't the right size so they were told to leave to get a new photo and come back, but they didn't need to change the online photo. If you are taking it make sure to read all the photo info, make sure there's no shadows or objects in the background

    u dont need to scan ur photo up onto the form...i didnt...i just brought a photo with me and it was fine

    Regards the photo, there seems to be a bit of confusion. If you upload a photo and it meets the requirements, you don't need to bring photos to the embassy as your photo is on the confirmation page. If you can't upload a photo for whatever reason, you need to bring one or two 2" x 2" photos with you.

    hi regarding mentioning of brother who is permanent resident, what would you guys advise
    I have not revealed it in form ds 156 when i went for visitors visa,
    now i have my j1 visa interview pretty soon.
