hey how ya doin i been livin in NYC for the past year saw this so said id tell ya what i know from lookin last year... whatever job your askin for or whenever you meet a manager DO NOT tell them your a J1 tell them your here on a years visa noone in the city realy wants to hire j1's as many (includin myself) are unreliable when the option of a session instead goin to work comes around that and noone wants to hire anyone for 3 months... as far as findin an actual job goes i have uncles who own and work in bars am friends with bar owners and it still took me 2 months to find the job i been in for the last 10 months just do what everyone else has to and walk the streets applyin to everywhere possible you could get lucky and walk into a placce the same day someones fired but its not easy bud i wont lie to ya... goodluckk with your search anyway bud
