Mobile Phone use in the
US is EXPENSIVE. Don't pay the rip off charges over there, get a MAXROAM
sim before you go and get a US and Irish number in one. Call home for
the price of a local call from your mobile!
Ok.... I am a undergadaute from a UK university. I got my J-1 visa through CIEE. I have been in the USA for the last 5 months working. My J-1 is scheduled to end sometime in June (and then have 30 days to leave from that date).
Instead of finishing my job in June i want to change that and finish at the end of April.
My questions are:
1. Can i then get another job (bar work/cafe etc....) for a month or so until my J-1 finishes?
2. If i do would i have to inform the CIEE?
3. If i do this but don't manage to get another job for the remainding months will anything happen? ie: get deported?
4. I would be moving to a different state and getting the job for last few months, is this fine?
5. During May i will be returning to the UK for a few days for a wedding, will i be able to return to the USA for the remainder of my J-1 status?
