I am here to share a negative personal experience with company called taxback.com They provide services processing your paperwork for tax return (They particularly specialize on J1 visa holders).
I DO NOT recommend contacting them if you apply for your tax return! They do not come back to you with all your questions. They try to assign a consultant to work with you who is from a country of your origin. In my case - I am from Ukraine and I was attached to a guy from Russia. This consultant's communication skills were poor - he would ignore some of my questions, whenever I would ask him when he is expecting to send my check for a return or whenever I would ask him for any estimate.
Also, taxback.com has sent my application to be processed in Dublin, Ireland while there is an office in the US. I clearly indicated in my application that I am currently in the US and then gave them my US bank details. When taxback.com was returning me my tax return, they sent the money from Ireland to the US which caused me loosing a good amount of money because of international money transfer. My question is why would you send my application to Dublin if you have an office in Chicago? And why wasn't I informed that it will be international transfer with a partial amount loss?...
I am basically sharing this to help other avoid similar case. Hope this is helpful.
