I stayed in cape cod for 6 months on an internship it was amazing !!....defintely have to research before u go as it is a seasonal location and things dont get busy till mid june!...there are plenty of things to do but if u were to stay in cape a car is a must!!! we travelled on bikes the first 2 months then we all chipped in and bought two cars. we stayed in brewster as we worked in ocean edge resort ( savage place u have to check it out if u go:) !!) the main area to stay would eb hyannis for J1 students but brester was a great place to stay in we were able to go everywhere taxi's are really cheap to and theres great locations the bars and clubs were amazing, check out traider ed's, beachcomber, lost dog, the woodshed and irish bar !!...its pricey in cape cod!!...i would look into seeing if u could get work in Ocean edge where i worked or chatham bars they are the ony top two resorts on cape!! ....also if u go provincetown cannot be missed even if u go once u wont regret it !...only an hour on the coach away from boston city ( where we went all the time for red sox games shopping etc) its four hours away from new york ( travelling on the coach up there wasnt bad either)...honestly cape cod was the best experiance of my life !!!...get looking for accomodation quick as its known for being the busy for the entire summer and every1 comes down for the city!!....surfing and water sports are amazing down there so u could easily get a job doing that if interested. working in bars i would check the lost dog theres three located in cape cod the one in orleans is the best ( that was our second home) also the woodshed ( owned by the same people) constantly packed ans i herd great tips !! ...there is so much i could tell u but i hope that helps and if u research a good bit and plan out ur summer u will not regret it !! :)
