    Hey,

I'm thinking of heading on a j1, maybe Chicago or San Fran but I'm open to other places! I'm going to head on my own so would love to team up with others if they are heading in the same direction. I'm 21, female and from Galway, doing a postgrad in Dublin at the mo :)

@Bambi, I'm thinking of heading out early June because I don't know when my exams will be finished in May :)

I've heard Chicago and San Fran are great spots, does anyone know which place is best for jobs, or are they both the same? If people are still interested in a team up you can get in touch with me on bveroh@gmail.com. Thanks everyone for getting back to me!

Hey. I was in chicago on a j1 last summer and it was fantastic! thinking of doing it again this year as I could maybe get my old job back straight away. I finish erasmus early in April so would be looking to go the earliest date possible which is the 20th of May. Not sure yet but might b heading out alone. Anyone interested in sharing its cathrionaspage@hotmail.com.We stayed in Wrigleyville last year which I would definitely recommend as it is where the cubs stadium is, all the irish bars and just a few doors down from us was the gay district which was alot of fun but among the locals it is known as one of the most expensive areas. If there are enough sharing though it's not bad rent wise.

Any of you who don't join up with a group, San Fran is great on your own. I went on my own when I was 19 and I'm heading back for a 3rd time this summer. San fran is more expensive for accommodation, but they have the highest minimum wage, and the people are really friendly - it's really esy to make friends with the Americans, I have loads that I go back to every year and two of them even came over for my birthday last year!

The girls in SAYIT were saying Chicago is looking really popular this year, but I'm just putting in my two cents - SF is amazing, and easily doable on your own.
