I applied for a J1 Visa from the New Delhi embassy. Yesterday, I received my passport, stamped with a valid J1 Visa. However the DS-2019 form which I submitted along with it has been returned unsigned/unstamped by the consular officer.

What should I do? Should I revisit the embassy? Is the form supposed to be only signed by the immigration officer at my US port of entry? Kindly advise.

Received no reply here, so leaving my experience so that posterity may find it useful.

It turns out that US embassy did make a mistake. So today, I marched down there, they had me wait a while, and then they returned the signed DS-2019 form to me.
