Hi, As title says I am a mature student thinking of doing the J1 thing next summer (2012). I would love to go to San fran, Hawaii, Chicago, the list is endless really!! The problem is I don't really want to go it alone and if possible would prefer to go with people around my own age (mid 20s)... If there is anyone in the same boat who is interested in teaming up don't hesitate to let me know I would like to get the ball rolling ASAP!!! Thanks!

I'm heading back to San Fran from Cork for a third year this summer. Taking a friend with me this time but I've done it alone too. Dunno what our plan is for accomm (we might have a room for the two of us already) but if you're heading we could meet up, take you out, help you get sorted and set up. I'm 21, but last year I brought my sister with me, she was 27 and a mature student as well. San Fran is amazing fun, but it is more for the mature-20s type rather than the 18-yr-old-lets-get-sun-burnt-and-so-drunk-we-don't-remember-the-summer-type. I'm definitely not into the lets get absolutely plastered every night and live in a tip kind of J1, but do love to go out and have some fun. I work weekend nights, but clubs and bar are open late every night of the week and dollar drinks are on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
