Hey, me and my friend (both 21) are thinking of heading to Cali this summer. We were thinking Huntington Beach, but are open to suggestions! What's it like for jobs/accommodation etc..? Also we were thinking that accommodation sharing would be a good idea (save money/more craic)! If anyone has any info/interested in sharing then let me know! :D

About the posts above concerining Social Security Cards. The issue in San Diego is that it takes 12 - 16 weeks, in the rest of Cali it is around 6 weeks. The main thing is that around8 working days after you apply, you can go back into the office with the receipt from when you applied and usually they will tell you the number so you can start working, but you still won't get the card for weeks. Make sure they have a current address, or give them a more permanent address (of an employer or friend) if you are staying in hostels.
