am a 22 year old female who has started her j1 application as I was planning to go and live with a friend but she bailed and is going to live with her sister instead! should I carry trough with it and just go alone or go with another friend next year? am kinda worried that if i go this year and don't like it i will have wasted my chance as I cant go both years...I have to do so many weeks placement in ireland for my college course so have to say here this summer or next! :/ so any one that went alone...is there a big risk i'll waste my summer working and being anti social?! :P
loads of people go on their own, and end up sharing accomodation with people they dont know. probably the best way to do it! i hear wildwood is good for that, me and few fellas heading over there without sorting out accomodation or job, gonna do it when we get out there!
