Hey,anyone know the best way to get to Myrtle Beach from New York.We're thinkin of gettin a car and havin a bit of a road trip but not sure if we'd afford it.anyone know if renting cars is expensive?
were plannin on goin to myrtle beach aswell,except were flyin into miami and home from NY, nova car hire seemed pretty handy when we checked on the website,have you sorted out accommodation in Myrtle Beach??
no not sorted yet but rainbow court is meant to be the bst place to go,all J1's go there.supposedly they take in about 500 people...you cant book in advance,just turn up and they usually able to sort everyone out.Anyone know if its strict wit ids??
I was in Myrtle Beach last year it was absolutely class, total redneck place though. if ur goin make sure to stay in Rainbow Court id say its booked up by now but they always keep some extra appartments for when people get there or else advertise n c if anyone is looking for someone to share, its a bit of a dump but its totally mental. 8434483857 is the no.one thing advice watch the cleaners they rob everything.also rainbow c is a total ghetto area people get mugged, shot etc not wanting to put u off cos ul b grand as long as u dnt be walkin outside after dark at nite Jobs u will get no bother i worked in Johnny Rockets 1950s style restaurant war uv 2 dance really good fun but this summer was quiet with tourists so tips were bad if u didnt get good tables. ul get jobs in the mall, at Broadway at the beach(outdoor shopping complex) or along the boulevard in tacky shops, restaurants icecream parlours etc or at the water parks if ur desperate.just go round everywher when u get ther dnt worry about bringing a cv. Nite life really good all Irish go drinkin in rainbow court then 2 Kriptonite n Malibu clubs n the bars u21 no prob u get in everywhere underage u just get a stamp but they take photocopys of passports so we just changed ours n u get in everywhere id def reccomend myrtle beach ul av a mental summer. id love 2 go bk but goin to santa barbara this year. hope i was a help:D
theres ten of us headin out...All lads..how bout you?any idea how many people there are per apartment or house in rainbow court??would they take 4 of us in one and 6 in another??does anyone know if its hard to get caddying jobs ???also anyone know any good spots if we wana head away for a week or so...???
Rainbow appartments vary from 5 people to about 8, if theres 5 ul b al sharin in if 8 ul get 2 bedrooms. if u wait til u go out though might be just the motel rooms left in rainbow court they r quite small. If u want a caddying job ud av 2 go 2 North Myrtle Beach cos golf is big there. very few Irish go ther its bout half hour drive 4om MB, so caddying wouldnt be the best choice id say. if u wana go away wen ur ther go 2 florida, its underneath South Carolina. u can fly but its not expensive 2 rent a car n do a road trip. Loads of people went to Orlando last year they said it was unreal, we went to the other side to miami and palm beach, miami especially is worth going to; south beach is really cool

ya think we're gona fly home from miami and do a bit of a road trip..ya ur prob right about the caddying.its always very early morning too.were all the cottages booked out when ye arrived last year???we're prob gona be arrivin there around thw 1st so we shud be earlier than alota people

last year we had booked Rainbow before we went out. Some friends we made over there got one wen they went out though so u should be fine if ur out early. if you dnt get into Rainbow theres the Darlington and Emerald Shores. They're beside Rainbow Court and lots of Irish stay there but usually come over to Rainbow at night cos u make friends at work etc. I dunno whether to go to Orlando or Miami, cos dnt go 2 orlando depends if u really wanna go 2 disney really, u could prob go 2 both if u went on a road trip. most people fly into new york, boston or washington if going 2 Mb n then fly down, www.airtran.com and www.spiritair.com are cheap if u book early. think u cant fly washington if ur going on the J1 Classic though...
No there isnt wireless in Rainbow n i would def say no dont bring anything as valuable as a laptop, cleaners will take anyyhing so mp3s, phones and money shouldnt be left around the appartment
Ive heard Rainbow court is full up...has anyone else heard this?i also heard that they save space and its more of a first come first serve kind of a place and they just tell people they're full...anyone have a clue???
Just rang Rainbow Court there and they still have available rooms.. theres 5 of us girls going and cannot wait.....Um as for ID we've new passports kinda hard to change via photocopy...any other ideas??
hey me nd a friend r headin to mytrle beach this summer too... flyin into NY nd dont fancy payin for internal flights so think we will b gettin that bus down... flyin in on the 23rd of may so we've loads of time to get down there... wats the story wit rainbow court is there a need to book or wat??
