Just wondering if anyone knows if the GHDs work in America? I've heard that they can't heat up properly because of the difference in Voltage, Is there any kind of cheap converter you can buy or should I just invest in a nice hat?!

wher would u get one of those convertor things???
  1.
voltages are different over there, we are 240V they are 115V or the other way around. look up the converters. they sell them in the airport definetly, but would google it to be sure.

Looked up amazon and found this

    http://www.amazon.com/UK-USA-GROUNDED-PLUG-ADAPTER/dp/B000NND600

UK plugs are the same as here and give up more results. Might be better to buy off these becuase its cheaper. Travel shops proble sell them too.
