When applying for a job can American companies look into other countries credit check systems? I am thinking to myself do these companies even have jurisdiction overseas? I just want to make sure so I give myself a schedule to pay off any current credit card bills and so on.

It is amazing and very scary to actually find out how much information somebody can dig up on you. I mean be very careful since lately I have read about some sort of security breach by hackers into come companies server stealing all the personal date.
I always make sure to keep checking on my credit history every 3-6 months now.
