Mobile Phone use in the
US is EXPENSIVE. Don't pay the rip off charges over there, get a MAXROAM
sim before you go and get a US and Irish number in one. Call home for
the price of a local call from your mobile!
How many languages do you speak? Do you find it difficult to understand thick accents or words that don't apply in your native language? I always thinkt hat I have my second language down pat until I actually come into contact witha native speaker and somehow it seems so complicated again!
How long did it take to learn your second language? I have so many funny stories about awkward moments when I'm trying to talk to someone and we can't quite understand each other!
Yes I have trouble understanding sometimes especially slang! I am able to keep up with the conversation until someone speaks of a slang word then I lose all control and end up just nodding my head lol. I always ask a lot without being inappropiate by finding out what this or that means. Be careful because some people like to have a good laugh by telling you what this word means but end up getting slapped by a woman later on. *sighs*
