why do you say that you will work your ass off? is there many jobs available, and also do many J1ers go there? Obviously its not going to be as busy as the likes of San D.

hello, spent summer 07 in Chicago. amazing place! look for jobs in Navy Pier, and all restaurants etc that you walk by. There will be loads of signs in shop windows. Start looking for accomadation early tho!

Im looking for the same kind of info! Heading to chicago end of may and theres going to be around 6 of us. Last J1 was to maui which was amazing but ive heard fantastic stuff about chicago...if anyone has advice and tips tell us!!
there is a gang of us going too. From what Ive heard everybody who goes on a J1 over there gets their houses/apartments in and around wrigley and lincon park area. Its near the cubs ground and also is mostly a student area with loads clubs and pubs. Should be a good crowd going over this year, cant wait.

hey i spent last summer in Chicago and it was unreal. headin back there again this summer! best place for jobs is navy pier, good buzz round the place too and the tips for waitressing is unbelievable. i lived in lincoln park. i definitely wanna get a place round there again, loads of good clubs and bars and close to the beach aswell. its hard enough finding accommodation round there. i was lucky gettin it last year.look on the internet anyway around march/april wen all the summer accommodation is starting to be posted up.. anyone need to know anything else, no problem...
