hi we were on for going to maui in hawaii but we have heard it s kinda quit and expessive?? any1 been b4 whats it like for jobs/craic??
also were thinkin calafornia but not san diago as we have heard its quite competitive for jobs so we were thinking santa barbara. ive heard of people staying in halyey cottages and isla vista, where is good to live and whats the job situation like?? and is it near the beech??
Hey. was in Santa B last summer... was totally unreal... you should go without a doubt. i didnt know anyone who couldnt get a job if they wanted 1 just when you get there call round everywhere with your resume n they will ring u... definetely stay in Isla Vista, the college town just outside SB n dont listen 2 anyone saying to live in SB town in Haley cottages at least for the whole summer. the best part of SB is the college house parties and they go on in Isla Vista being in town would get really boring. most people live in IV but work in the city u can get a bus in that takes under half hour perfectly regular...go onto craigslist.com and look for summer sublets in IV...most oi the accom doesnt become available until June 16th around cos thats when college breaks up so u might av 2 stay in hostel r motel or Haleys in town till then El Prado Inn is great book a room and loads cram in, till then... if u go 2 SB ul av the best summer ever, beach beautiful its right in the city the city itself is beautiful more like a beach town than a city i dont no anuyone that didnt love it
The beach in Iv is nice and you dont have to go into town to go to the beach but actually my friends and I ended up going into the city most days even when we werent working, ita just such a nice town town and the buses are really nice and so regular that we went into town to the beach and to hang out all the time..

hey..me and a couple of friends are deadset on santa barbara this summer..does any one have reccommendations on the best place to get jobs? iv heard the money is in waitressing as the tips are pretty good..and also is it ok to head in small enough groups? we are thinkin of setting of mid june to be there for when the uni closes for the summer and all the jobs and acc become available..is this time ok or should we be there beforehand? and also...house sharing..anyone up for it?? any advice would be hugely appreciated!xxx
