myself and a couple of friends are heading to SB this summer (looking at isla vista), mid june to mid august ... is anyone else heading there who have found accomodation and need someone to share with???
also, summer 2007 experiences and advice would be really appreciated!!! - on nightlife, where to get jobs, and how/where to get accomodation
Hey. was in Santa B last summer...unreal... i didnt know anyone who couldnt get a job if they wanted 1 just when you get there call round everywhere with your resume n they will ring u...if you're there early u could get a job in Isla Visa, cos last year my friends and i were there on the 30th May and we got offered several jobs but its better fun to work in the city and go in and out every day cos the bus is really regular(24x).lots of shops, restaurants etc just as soon as you get there go round with a resume and a cover letter; my friend and i worked in a clothes shop was brill, other people worked in a call center(not good unless ur stuck) and restaurants(good but usually not many hours) the best part of SB is the college house parties and they go on in Isla Vista being in town would get really boring. most people live in IV but work in the city...thursday night is downtown night u get a party bus to town so good but usually everyone stays in IV for House Parties go onto craigslist.com and look for summer sublets in IV...most oi the accom doesnt become available until June 16th around cos thats when college breaks up so u might av 2 stay in hostel r motel till then( el Prado Inn really good)

Hey Anie, me and my friend are heading to SB this summer too. From what i've read here Isla Vista looks like the best place to stay. We are looking for people to share a house with too. Have you found anyone or are you still looking? We are looking for a house atm but have found nothing yet. Let me know if you're interested in sharing!! ( we are 2 girls, 20, students in Dublin)
Helloooooooo!! Myself and 3/4 others are heading to Santa Barbara for summer 08. Wheather we stay in SB or IV not sure yet!
