Mobile Phone use in the
US is EXPENSIVE. Don't pay the rip off charges over there, get a MAXROAM
sim before you go and get a US and Irish number in one. Call home for
the price of a local call from your mobile!
have you considered berkeley, stayed there last summer, great place, its 30mins by bart from sf, weather is better and its a good bit cheaper! only downside for me was going to clubs in sf, had to get a taxi back, prob about $40 but not too bad if theres a group.
