hey just wondering if theres anyone who been to nantucket for a summer recently. If so, whats it like? good nightlife? expensive to get accom? craic? thanks!
Hey mmmbop, Was in nantucket last summer for a while and i have to say it's one of the coolest places I've ever been too. It's like no other place on earth. It's a tiny island and it hasn't changed much in the last hundred years (windy cobbled streets, wooden houses etc.) but it's so pretty to look at. The nightlife is really good especially down by the pier. Most irish people meet every sunday nite in the same bar which is cool. The only draw back is that it's such a small place that you'll pretty much be looking at the exact same faces every nite ur out! but dont let that put u off. The beaches are amazing. Jobs were handy enough to come by because of all the tourists. Accomodation is the biggest problem in nantucket so try and get some b4 u go over. Invariably J1ers end up staying in small cramped houses with big rent but its still fun most of the time.
