    If yes, what do I need to do?

    On my contract it is stating:
    If you leave your employment without having been terminated by the employer or obtaining prior written authorization from XXXXXX Work Travel, you will be dismissed from the XXXXX Work Travel Program immediately.

    If you are dismissed from the XXXXX Work Travel Program for any reason, you
    will be out of status on your J-1 visa.

    Is that true? And is that legal?

    I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt they'll be checking up on you.
    If you need to change jobs, just go about it the normal way.
