hey the frats arent just 18 year old fellas. i stayed in a frat last summer in berkely and they were from 19-21 really, no younger!they all still go to classes etc...id advice you get your own place though but DO NOT go to the bay area,either stay in the city or berkeley altho the city is quite expensive.berkeley is where most of the irish go, and id say ud have a better summer there....you can travel in and out of the city etc....unless you really want the city nightlife.but berkely has 3 or 4 good bars, and loadsa house partys.
Heidi, id say all the frats are booked up...ive been looking for a place for me and my mate in one for awhile and it looks like they are all book up. Id say your best bet is to try and find a house for the summer. Are you heading over with friends? Mybe we could share accomodation if something comes up?
ours was called alpha delta phi....meant to say not to stay in a frat house, i have there contact details. well one of the fellas email, he might be outa the frat, but id say he could get uou in contact with them. to be honest tho they are generally TOTAL shit holes, but very cheap, i mean they tried putn 7 of us in their basement.....no thanks, we upped n left!!! there was a pool though, which is a bonus, and they were only looking for $150 a month each.....sounds good, but seriously a place on ur own is best....plus u have to play beer pong for your entire summer....gets very old after 1 game...altho they seem to love it!!!!
we already got our frat house, it was hard i just sent a load of emails from links i got from the berkeley university website and got a few responses. apparently if you log on to sayit's j1 live lounge, there is a list of about 20 houses, details such as emails phone numbers and such should be there to.
