Mobile Phone use in the
US is EXPENSIVE. Don't pay the rip off charges over there, get a MAXROAM
sim before you go and get a US and Irish number in one. Call home for
the price of a local call from your mobile!

I'd recommend against USIT too. They are absolute crooks and don't give a shite about you once you have paid up.
If you want to save yourself a few bob and have the time to do it, apply yourself. You'll learn a lot about US bureaucracy. Alternatively, just go on a tourist visa.
