Tara, I'd also be interested in sharing with you in that frat house. I'm also a guy, 20 years old and from Dublin. I'm very easy to get along with, easy going but also know how to have fun/be serious when it's necessary. I'm fairly clean and neat and can cook and do all that sort of stuff. Hahaha
I'll be heading over near the middle of June and leaving at the end of August/start of September.
Not bad and the rent is deadly, I've already emailed them about it and just waiting on a reply. I said there's is three of us (presuming your mate is still coming) and that we'll be in san fran from early june to mid/late august. If anyone else is interested leave a comment here and I'll see if I can get us more spaces.

i dunno man about berkeley i was talking to my brother about berk and he was in sf a few years back and he said berkeley is miles away, he advised me to get somewhere in sf itself, everyone is mad for berkeley too so there'll be loads out there i'm still gonna look for a place in sf but sure if we cant get anthing we'll def take that gaff anyway cheers
Ok tempest I'll ask them if there is a place for you, I forgot to mention that there's a $500 security deposit and all utilities are split. They emailed some more pics of the gaff and it looks really nice, kinda better than the one I live in a the moment. Give us your email address if you want them.
Owen, the place is ten minutes away from a BART station and its takes about 30min (not sure) to get into the mission district on it. I don't know about you but I'm definately taking it, seems a bit to good to be true. I'll ask them can they keep your place till the end of the week so you can have a look around, dont really think it would be fair on them if we left it any longer.

theresa, i was in sf last summer, you wanna stay in the city or in berkeley? i stayed in both but prefered the city but thats just me. berkeley is good craic tho, loadsa house parties n stuff!!! you're best bet in the city is in haight, castro(dodgy enough), mission or sunset! just gimme a shout if u need any more help or got any questions, best of luck househunting

ya the five of us got jobs on a building site,were going over playing a bit of football also,thats how we got in contact with them. we emailed a frat house(cigmanu) but they said they were full up in under 6 hours but they"d email our info onto other houses.so hoping for the best
if your looking for jobs try anywhere down on fishermans wharf and around that area. i worked in blazing saddles ye could try them, the aquarium and the ferry companies take on people too. niketown(unon square), the adidas store(westfield sc), abercrombie and fitch, hollister and american eagle all take on people too and are all in the the westfield shopping centre on market street. i would say if you have a job in the city try to get somewhere to stay in the city. berkeley is about 20 minutes on the bart but its not the end of the world if your stuck out there. dont really know about jobs out there but as its smaller would imagine it'd be harder to find a job. anyway happy hunting.

You would be able to stay at the Stern Summer Visitor Housing during your stay at Berkeley, which is about a 30-minute BART ride from San Francisco. We do still have accommodation available, yet it depends on when you are planning specifically on staying. If you decide to stay at Stern, you would need to go to housing.berkeley.edu then click on conference services, and then you would click on summer visitor housing. There, you can request a reservation for the dates you would like to stay. We would then receive your request and check availability of those dates. You can book accommodation from now till the summer. There is no deadline for requesting Stern Housing accommodation; however, receiving a reservation will depend on the space available. we just emailed all football clubs in san fran and a few of them emailed us back saying they" love to have us and they" help us with accommodation and give us jobs. were set on staying in a frat house for the few weeks cos were going travelling in august

We're ging over on the first and we were thinking Berkeley cos seems to be the cheapest and and thats where most of the Irish seem to stay. Its like 25mins to get from berkeley to the city on the Bart which to us doesn't sound to bad. Did ye manage to find jobs over there?
