Four lads from galway going as well. Heard its a better bet sortin out accomodation nd jobs over there too. The international student office on 1st street is a good place to go to help try and get all of that sorted by all accounts.. More fun when you wing it anyway!

We'll be arrivin bout the 3rd/4th maybe (we're flyin into NY).. ye'll have first dibs on jobs nd gaffs so darragh ;-) have only heard good things about it myself from anyone whos gone there, its strict on ID nd that if your u21 which is a pisser, but apart from that have heard its all gravey! what negative feedback have you gotten from it?

Duno bout jobs 2 be honest we're a lazy bunch fair chance a few of us won't work once one of us pulls d plug, heard dat the place is a bit of a hole but heard off other ppl its good craic, anyway how bad can it possibly be, bita sun, beach, drink etc! we're all over 21 anyway, ye over 21??? ya say we'd be up for sharing get a big gaf and throw aload into it, make it a party gaf like!!!!
Hey, there's 5 of us girls heading to Ocean City, 3 from Letterkenny and 2 from Cavan. We've heard pretty decent stuff about the place..easy to get jobs and cheap etc etc..Strict on ID which sucks cos 2 of us arent over 21 yet :( But ive bin told a couple of hints on how to get in with fake ID's etc so fingers crossed. We were told not to get accomodation past 30th street cos yer too far away from all the craic so heads up on that! Cider? ha, ya say u mite be able to get in in the irish bar alrite and rem last time i was n america one of d lads used get the local offie to get a few cases of it in every month for him. in regards to accomodation heard its best to wait till u get over der to sort suppose to be easy enough and heard that 2 to stay below 25th street, think d main club is on 25th st so anywhere need that would be fine. 8 more days!!!!
Omg can't wait now, it's getting so close! Heard the best thing to do is make friends with the americans our age that go there for the summer cuz they have the craziest parties! Just fin exams now and can't WAIT to get outta this rainy shithole! Looked up an OC webcam there, gorgeous blue sky, people playing volleyball on the beach, looks savage!
There's actually really good night clubs up around 40th Street, there's a place called Seacrets, its brilliant... The Paddocks on 17th is really good, esp on Monday nights - Mr Green Jeans !! Club 24 is really good, really cheap drink !! We stayed in OC for 2 summers, always around 24th - 28th street, it was the best place cos near enough to everything...beach / clubs / pubs... We are trying to get accom we had before, 2 bedrooms, kitchen / sitting room, bathroom and 2 balconys (front and back)...great for parties !!!! Its a block of 4 appts...anybody interesed?? Would it be a good idea live around Secrets nightclub?(think it is around 49th street) Or should we live below 12th street? Where do most Irish J1s live? Where is it cheaper or best craic to live?
