Hey!Yeah I'm hopin to head over to NY in May and stay til September...there's about 6 of us goin so far :) We're only goin there because some of us have relatives livin there who can help us out with jobs and the likes.Don't know anyone who's been to Miama...loads seem to go to Chicago though.Good luck!
Hey! CaoimheNic I'm thinking of heading to Florida too, I'm thinking Orlando as I have a contact there who reckons that a job would be quite easy to find with all the theme parks etc, plus a fantastic nightlife. Are you planning to go alone?

If you're planning a trip down to miami you cud stay with us cos i've heard hotels etc are expensive! Our contact in Orlando died like last week! It's not funny that she died but it's a bit ironic!ha
Hey was in miami, the summer just passed '09. Total of 5 went over meet 2 other groups so a total of 12 of us hung out together and of those 12, 11 got jobs. We all stayed in south beach, in different apartments but with the 25cent local bus it was handy to get from one apartment to the nxt. I got my job after about the 8th day I was there. A place called buffalo wings and rings, tips were great, boss was a bit of an ass. Made about $100 a day in about a 6 hour shift. The beach is unbelievable. Had such an amazing summer.
I'm heading out to San Francisco on my own on June 2nd.. Can't wait. Think I have a job lined up already which is pretty handy. Anyone have any tips for SF or know where the best accomodation is? Also where is good for nightlife? (I will have a second passport saying I'm over 21 hopefully)...
Does anyone know what accomodation is like when employers give you accomodation for working there? for example would a hotel let you stay in one of the lower class suites if you worked there or how does it work out?
alankavo, was in san diego last summer just for a few weeks. i'd recommend stayin in banana bungalows at the start if you dont have accommodation sorted cos its right on the beach and you'll get to know loads of ppl der who can tel ya bout the good spots to stay around the area, great craic der aswel.
