hey im headin over end of may with my boyfriend and possibly 4 or 5 others. Headin to santa b and heard mixed reviews bout isla vista, supposedly its the party place but would have to travel for jobs and is expensive (not sure how far!). Was thinking of accom in iv or in the university but accom in the uni dont usually become available till mid june...anyone been b4 with info on housing and jobs??
im headin over too, i've got a job sorted wit SB Hostel which is apparently were most people stay were they first arrive. Theres also Hayley cottages which is right in the centre,think its quite popular too.Jobs only part time tho so i'l be lookin for a second job when i get there i think but i heard ther quite easy to find.
sophieguy how did you get a jobs over there already? Craigslist or did you know someone over there? Theres 8 of us goin over at the end of May and all lookin for a job!!
hey sophieguy, i also have a job with the sb hostel ..how did you get it?? did you have to pay deposit the get the job..cause thats what theyre tryin to make me do in order to get a contract..
hey shortcake just replied to u on another thread lol!and yeh had to give them $150 which is shit but at least u get it back at the end.def takin the job tho sent the deposit yday, seems like it'll be easy enough and can try get a 2nd one for a bit more money. curlz, got the job through the company thats sponsorin my visa ccusa
