hi guys myself n 3 of my friends are headin to chicago for the summer. jus wonderin where in d city is d most central to stay n also good for jobs. Would really appreciate some help. Tanx
alright alison im heading to chicago either on my own or with a mate but if you get there the very start of june and go along the beach in the restaurants there and bars ya will get good jobs with tips 5 days a week you could pull up to a thousand dollars a week now thats a good week but still good money to be earned there plenty of jobs aswell!!....and stay in the city not the suabarbs ive been told the train can be a mare to use we havent found any accomadation yet but if we find anything we'll forward the info on to ya ;)
DEFINATLY stay in the city we got stranded in the subarbs and the trains were headwreckin!!they didnt go at weekends. go along to navy pier i got offered a job there at 12.50 an hour!!! ya need yr social security number(not just the legal paperwork) or they cant pay ya tho, their system is strange, but its cool, go there an watch the fireworks on independence eve-OH MY GOD its savvvvage!! an go to 6 flags,keep an eye out for when there's free concerts on in chicago too, some can be super! but on the was theres some shopping outlet thats meant to be amazin, we didnt make it there but its meant to be unreal like.
I'm gonna be working at the Galway Bay Pub at 500 W Diversey. It's a great spot for j1'ers, was faourite pub when I was over 2 years ago. It's gonna be showing all the world cup matches and has savage drinks promos through the week, keep it in mind!
