Straight to Rory Dolans... Were staying in Bronx. Riverdale or Woodlawn is where irish are so thats where were looking, havnt anything sorted yet though... Its a grand area, one of lads going has been there a good few times.

Was in nyc 2 yrs ago. We stayed in woodlawn in the bronx, really gud craic loads of irish bars, close to the city - 15 mins by train. Rent is also way cheaper than anywhere in manhattan.
Try places like white plains or bronxville 4 jobs. Look for catering jobs (for parties etc.) from restaurants as they might take on a few part timers for summers. You only have to work a few hours a week and it pays approx $30 per hour + at least $50 in tips for 2 hours. Go to the immigration centres in woodlawn (as early as possible) as they might be able to set u up with accomm and jobs. One is called the emerald isle immigration centre not sure what the rest are called.

What is it with all the people who want to live in Irish neighbourhoods in the states?? Seriously its all you hear J1'ers say (well most of them). Why go all the way to the states to hang out with Irish people all summer, drink in Irish bars and score Irish birds?? Lol, you can do that at home? I always find it hilarious when I am in the states and I see big group of lads in GA jerseys and o'neills shorts, or a big group of beat women with sunburn. They might as well have a big sign over there heads that reads "just off the boat".
