We were trying to decide between Huntington Beach and Santa Barbara, but if we had accomodation or jobs sorted in HB we'd probly just head there! Le, you prob wont be able to get jobs before you go as most places require in person interview and social security number :) but yeah if you really want a job you can get one :D
Noel, we stayed in a hotel was cheaper than the hostel :D:D also where you stay depends on funds and how many people are staying in your place.
Jess, we stayed in a house last year about 5 mins walk from the beach and main st. was amazingggggg :) there was 7 of us in total with people coming and going at all times.
