sim before you go and get a US and Irish number in one. Call home for
the price of a local call from your mobile!

A lot of places wont even take drivers licences - it usually has to be a passport. I've seen places reject cancelled passports too (with the corners cut off, even when they were genuine and the person was over 21). Some places like New York city are a bit less strict about it, depending on the bar you go to then they wont even ask for ID.
Yeh it feels like I'm 17 again tryin to get a fake I.D!!I heard San Diego is passport only but we're going to Vegas for a trip and I want something for there and New York.Also is it hard to get served in off licenses in San Diego does anyone know?
Off licences are usually harder to get served in than bars. Sometimes supermarkets can be ok, usually the smaller ones. But it's still unlikely that you wont be asked for ID.
Hmmm it'l be a bit of a pain.Just a bit dodgy I think getting a fake i.d off the net,I'd prefer to get a fake license at home but me and my freinds aren't having any luck finding any.
I have been on www.phatism.co.uk this site is NOT a scam but the pubs, clubs etc in Ireland have become aware of the ID and will no longer accept it.
I have recently bought from www.nextdayid.net this site IS POSITIVELY a scam, I was suppose to recieve my id's the next day and that was well over a week ago. I DOT NOT reccomend this site.
NY is totaly cool about it, I used my ISIC student card the whole summer and had no problems, even though the americans count mm/dd/yy, and we do dd/mm/yy I even had to do some explaining that I have actually turned 21 in April, and not waiting for it to happen in December :):):) which was kinda funny :) but no one ever said NO!
