Hi,I'm looking at going to San Diego for my summer holidays on a J1.
This is my first time ever doing something like this,is J1 the American visa? I read a lot about Irish people going on J1s but I'm from Wales,does this make any difference?
Would you say it was best to try and get a job out there before I leave? Or just go out there and hope for the best?
Any advice/websites etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
hey there are alot of irish going this summer but its all the same really and ive been online for months looking at jobs most places say they want to see u when u get there but its still worth forwarding ur resume to people!
craigslist.org is great for furniture and apartments and location wise we are looking at apartments in clairemont its meant to be a great location
also maybe register with j1juice they help students settle in and help them find accomodation! enjoy ur summer!
