I'm going to Myrtle Beach with a one other girl, we got accommodation in an apartment across from rainbow court. It's 900 for both of us, everything is included. Check out Craigs List, they've loads of places on that!!
Hey I am in need of 2 roomates. I got a place through Rainbow Court and the 2 guys that were suppose to stay backed out. So I need 1 or 2 more people. Its me and my brother, we're coming from Alaska. Hey guys just found out something big has happened at Rainbow Court. They have closed down. I have been trying to call for a week to make sure they got my deposit money and there was no anwser so I called a hotel that is owned by the same company and they said the person left and took all the books with them so they have no idea who has paid what or who has reservations. I don't know what we're gonna do because I have already dished out a large amount of $$ for my plane ticket and now I have no place to stay. Has anyone else got any information? Rainbow Courts Facebook page and all is gone.
Hey, I was there last summer .. You'll have a great time there ... There's serious banter in rainbow but if u dont manage to get that u should bheck out accomodation out near 'Broadway at the Beach'.. all the best clubs are there and the rent is actually pretty cheap, plus the accomodation is unreal like.. very modern.. like Rainbow is class for the crack and all but the buildings are pretty much made of cardboard. no joke, still though J1 is all about the crack factor i suppose ! As or jobs you should try Oceanfront bar and Grill, unbelievable place to work, good money, good tips and its on the beach.. plus the hrs are quality so u still get to head out after work.
hey j1lout wud me nd my friends be grand waitin till we get over to sort jobs nd accomodation... i mean we havent a clue bout anythin really we're gettin the bus down from newyork!!ha
as regards jobs id say ull defo be fine waiting till you get down there. i worked in the family kingdom amusement park which always has loads of jobs although the money is bad. but there is food/bar work going as well in places where you can get tips and stuff. basically if you want a job you will get one.
as regards accomodation if rainbow court is still open defo book that before you go as that is THE place to be without a doubt, most of the craic is there every night. they take j1 people every year so they know how to do bookings etc. but if not i wouldnt say you would have a problem getting accom elsewhere. a place some people stayed is the darlington which is just across the road and down a bit from rainbow court, its way smaller and the owner can be a bit of a biatch but if rainbow is closed it might be an option.
oh yeah as regards getting the bus, you should look into booking a flight which actually works about the same price as the bus except without 14+ hours on a bus full of ex-cons etc. go to orbitz.com and type in new york (both jfk and la guardia) to myrtle beach. you will have to make a stop somewhere but its far nice then the greyhound!!
Rainbow court is closed. The is according to the other hotel that is owned by the same company. Try calling there and you will see you will not get an answer. We are trying to find out what to do about the money that we already paid them. They are suppose to open back up but it is closed at least for now. According to the other hotel owned by the same company the people at the Rainbow Court took off with all the reservation books and $$$. So its not a freaking rumor because I have about $300 invested already with them for my summer stay not including the cost of the plane ticket. Try and find them on Facebook their page is now gone. Call the 1-800 number and it says they're getting ready for the summer season and will return your call. Call the other number and it just rings and rings. I had all my plans set to stay at the Rainbow because it was suppose to be the best place but who knows what they're gonna do.
YAY Just found out the Rainbow is just closed down for repair and some management change but they are still gonna open so I didn't loose my money. If you need a place you can all the other hotel and they will help you out. They said places are going fast and only a few left so you better hurry.
